I don't think its an understatement to say I love this band.
I first saw Yes Sir Boss in their previous incarnation of "Sellors and the Scientists" at the Goldcoast festival. They stole the show that year and have continued to get better and better everytime I see them play.
The combination of horns, guitar and vocals fuse to create a sound that captures those that hear it and refuses to let them go. The music has universal appeal and offer their audience a mixture of funk, soul, Ska, and blues. Taking the best from each genre and binding them into amazing set of songs. Highlights included "You and Me" and "Pretty Thing".
The band also have that rare ability of looking and sounding as good live as they do recorded. Infact to listen to this band is a delight in itself but to experience them live is something that should be precribed anyone feeling a little melancholic.
Half an hour in the company of this band and suddenly the world seems a brighter more optimistic place where almost anything is possible.
