The second Generator night took place on Saturday at the Inn On The Sqaure.
Again the gig was all ages opening up the live music scene in North Devon to anyone reguardless of if they are old enough to go into a pub.
The night was kicked off by the stunning Pretty Jacks who fused a mixture of covers and original tracks that had the crowd dancing from the first song to the last. It is no surprise this band has been asked to play at an upcoming club NME night in Exeter.
Second on were Severe Zero who kept the momentum going and had clearly brought a large following of their own. This band are about to embark on series of gigs around the UK and Generator fully expects their own brand of "glitzy punk" to be embraced from Birmingham to Cardiff and beyond.
The night was rounded off with a polished and energetic set from the brilliant All Houses. The band have been hard at work in the studio and showed off some of the fruits of their labour. Songs like "It's ok" have the potential to take this band to the next level. The highlight of the evening came when Olly the lead singer of Pretty Jacks joined the All Houses boys on stage to cover the Wombats moving to New York and to sing their new song 101 - soon to be avaliable on the new All Houses EP.
Overall the nigtht went brilliantly and everyone who attended seemed to have a great time.
Generator have said they are going to take June off to attend both the Goldcoast Summer festival and Glastonbury. The next Generator gig is scheduled for July. However watch this space as there may be other annoucements and events soon.
